A digital puzzle game evoking experiences of imagination, journey, isolation and self-realisation as experienced by migrants seeking security and stability in the contemporary metropole.
Player 1 (you), takes the role of a bird, an eternal symbol of living freedom, who must navigate 6 levels of a labyrinthine city, to make contact with friends who have become lost between the cracks.
Set in a land devoid of colour and variety. BLKBRD FLY! reflects the modern city, which can be sharp, obstructive and uninviting, especially to those considered 'foreign' or 'alien'. The monochrome environment reflects the reductive impacts of bureaucracy, prejudice and discrimination as felt by the underrepresented.
